What should I expect for my Definition Enhancement treatment?


Your first Definition Enhancement can be a little scary but before long, it will be just part of your routine and you’ll be looking forward to your next appointment. To help make things a little less overwhelming, here is a rundown on what you can expect for your first appointment:


Before the appointment:

  1. Call or email to book your appointment with Natural Aesthetics.
  2. For 1 week prior to your appointment, avoid Aspirin and Vitamin E.
  3. For 24 hours prior to your appointment, avoid exercise and alcohol as this can increase the risk of bruising.


During the appointment:

  1. Arrive at the studio and be greeted by Joyce’s smiling face.
  2. The first 20-30 minutes involves talking with Joyce about what you are hoping to achieve and to ensure that you know what is involved in your treatment. 
  3. You will have a video call with a doctor who will take a brief medical history and clear you to go ahead with the treatment.
  4. Once you are comfortable to continue with your anti-wrinkle treatment, you will sign a consent form.
  5. Joyce will then administer the treatment through a tiny needle and syringe into the area you want to treat. This is quite painless and only takes a minute or two and then you are free to leave. The whole appointment generally takes around 1 hour.


After the appointment:

  1. It’s a good idea to remain upright for 4 hours after the treatment to ensure the product is absorbed into the correct muscle.
  2. Over the following few days you will gradually have reduced movement in the affected muscle and by day 14 the anti-wrinkle treatment will have reached it’s maximum effect.
  3. The treatment will last approximately 4 months and the movement will gradually return to the area.
  4. To get maximum lasting results, it’s advisable to return to the studio for a follow-up treatment just before the movement returns. Your ongoing appointments will generally take less than 30 minutes.
